I’ve lived in Churchfields for 25 years and my sons attended Churchfields and Woodbridge schools. I sit on the boards of two charities: Friends of Redbridge Music School and Show Racism the Red Card. Until Labour removed Faiza Shaheen as its candidate in 2024, I was chair of the local Labour Party, but now chair Chingford and Woodford Green Community Independents, a group committed to community-led politics. Among other issues, I‘ve campaigned for progress on the new hospital desperately needed at Whipps Cross.
